There is so much more that needs to be done and Democrats will continue to champion the assistance that families and our states and local communities need, once a new Congress and President take office. I’m proud that the House did its job tonight. Now it’s up to Senators to finish the job and vote for the kind of real relief that families need at this dark, trying time in our history. For the President to prioritize honoring Confederate traitors over national security and a pay raise for our troops was reckless and repulsive.
