In Washington, a lot of words and expressions are thrown around that are often disconnected from the rest of the country. Words such as: continuing resolution; the Affordable Care Act; debt limit; and sequestration. In the coming days, there will be a great deal of debate surrounding what is called a "continuing resolution." There will be a great deal of debate about what is called the "debt ceiling." There will be a great deal of debate about what is called "Obamacare" and the future of the health care system in this country. And there will be a great deal of debate about what is called "sequestration," the automatic budget cuts which have been implemented. These four factors are converging to create the opportunity to move in the direction of fiscal responsibility and sustainability, as well as a necessary review of the very negative impacts the current health care law is having on many Americans. I invite you to watch the video below to gain a better understanding of what is going on in Washington – and what needs to be done to get past the politics of the moment and get something constructive done to help our economic well-being.
