Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) today announced that he will be hosting a Veterans’ Benefits Workshop to assist those filing for service-related claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs on Tuesday, November 5th, from 11am – 1pm at the Hickory Room in the Morris Center on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The workshop will provide free advice and guidance for those that need assistance when filling out their veterans’ claims applications, completing necessary documents as well as understanding how veterans’ affairs processes claims. “Every day our office helps local constituents with a wide range of veterans’ issues, and this workshop is simply an extension of those services to ensure that our veterans have the information and more importantly the access they need to obtain the services that they need and deserve from the Department of Veterans Affairs,” said Davis. “My staff and I look forward to hosting this event and working with local veterans’ to answer any questions and concerns they might have about veterans’ affairs services.” A variety of veterans’ service organizations will be on-hand including representatives from Congressman Davis’ office, the St. Louis Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, the St. Louis Veterans Affairs Regional Office, the Illinois Veterans’ Commission, the American Legion and others.
