Bishop, Jr. (GA-02) released a statement regarding the election of Lorraine C. Miller as the interim President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP): “A dear friend of long standing, Lorraine has always demonstrated a keen intellect and professionalism,” said Congressman Bishop. “More importantly for these times, she is a consensus builder and a problem solver and is the perfect leader to take on the many challenges ahead.
