As a result, U.S. steel manufacturers, including Nucor Vulcraft in Chemung, will benefit from ITC protections against unfairly-traded imports. “This is a big win for the entire United States steel industry and the jobs and industries it supports,” Congressman Reed said. “The success of our local steel manufacturers depends on our ability to create a level playing field for them. Unfair competition dumped into our U.S. market would surely mean less investment and growth from our U.S. manufacturers and I am thrilled we are taking steps to prevent that unfair activity.
