"These impressive young people went through a rigorous selection process, demonstrating their leadership in the classroom, extracurricular activities and community involvement. Each nominee would represent the 11th District with distinction, and I commend their strong desire to serve our country.”   Every Member of Congress has the privilege of nominating a limited number of constituents to the United States Service Academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with a commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.   Nominees:   United States Military Academy at West Point   Kyle Church, Weaverville                                            North Buncombe High School   T.J.
