It also repeals sequestration evenly between defense and non-defense programs. “I am deeply disappointed that this budget fails to extend emergency unemployment insurance for over a million Americans who continue to look for work in a tough job market. This is wrong and Congress must address this issue. “However, as the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities noted, this budget agreement represents a modest step forward. Given all the recent budget setbacks we’ve faced, our economy needs the certainty that this two-year budget will provide.
