Joyce is a cosponsor of the Kids First Research Act of 2013, introduced by Rep. Gregg Harper (MS-3) and Rep. Tom Cole (OK-4). Gabriella Miller gained national attention through her advocacy for childhood cancer research awareness during her 11-month battle with a brain tumor. She raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and helped launch the Smashing Walnuts Foundation to fund pediatric cancer research. This bill redesignates the Presidential Election Campaign Fund as the 10-Year Pediatric Research Initiative Fund.
