The funds will support the state’s highway safety and data programs. Details of the grants are as follows: Impaired Driving Countermeasures Program Grant - $1,591,695.80 to reduce traffic safety problems resulting from individuals driving while under the influence of alcohol. Motorcyclist Safety Grant - $50,212.85 to support motorcyclist safety training and motorcyclist awareness programs. State Traffic Safety Information Systems Grant (1 of 2) - $437,506.58 to improve the timeliness, accuracy, completeness, uniformity, integration, and accessibility of traffic data State Traffic Safety Information Systems Grant (2 of 2) - $71,720.90 to improve the timeliness, accuracy, completeness, uniformity, integration, and accessibility of traffic data. This award is a reallocation of the unawarded balance from the State Graduated Driver Licensing Laws program area using the proportional allocation process contained in MAP-21. Occupant Protection Grant (1 of 2) - $498,545.12 to adopt and implement effective programs to reduce highway deaths and injuries resulting from individuals riding unrestrained or improperly restrained in motor vehicles. Occupant Protection Grant (2 of 2) - $81,730.23 to adopt and implement effective programs to reduce highway deaths and injuries resulting from individuals riding unrestrained or improperly restrained in motor vehicles.
