This act provides the intelligence community with funding authorizations for the year to come. "With all the current global unrest, from Russia's action in Ukraine to the civil war in Syria, and the continued actions by terror groups, now is not the time to starve off funding to our intelligence operations," said Pearce. "The legislation passed by the House today supports our intelligence workforce and ensures they have the resources and capability to continue the vital work they complete worldwide. We must be able to combat the advancing cyber warfare threat, and we must continue to thwart terror plots against our nation and our allies. Most importantly, our nation must be cognizant of the continual evolving and emerging threats that are posed on a daily basis. None of this can be accomplished without a strong and stable funding commitment to agencies that work to keep us safe." NOTE: H.R. 4681, the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Years 2014 and 2015, authorizes appropriations for the conduct of intelligence and intelligence-related activities of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Defense, the Defense Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, Departments of the Army, Navy and Air Force, Coast Guard, Departments of State, Treasury, Energy and Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, National Reconnaissance Office, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.
