He has yet to address the American public about this issue and I believe the American people have a right to know the extent of engagement our government has had with other countries involved.  This humanitarian crisis on our southern border is heart breaking and it pains me to see so many children suffering.  “I’m extremely concerned that there is human trafficking inside our borders and hundreds of underage children are being forced into the sex trade industry. To solve this crisis it’s going to take a lot more than wasting American taxpayer dollars to fund COPS grants and anti-gang prevention programs in foreign countries. What is the President doing about this? Without leveling with the American people, he’s leaving the impression that he’s aiding and abetting potential criminal alien acts.  “Both Speaker Boehner and Texas Governor Rick Perry have written to the President suggesting that the National Guard be called upon to provide humanitarian assistance and allow the border patrol to focus on its core mission. At a minimum, the President should execute these requests to restore law and order and expedite relief to these thousands of children. “I’m prepared to take appropriate steps and in the next few days and will ask Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson about a request for information issued in January of this year seeking bids on escort services for unaccompanied alien children.  By soliciting information so far in advance, it begs the question: did the administration know and fail to inform Congress?” # # # f t # e 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
