https://web.archive.org/web/20140911235056/http://leeterry.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=393198 House Passes Common Sense Legislation Allowing Companies to Offer Same Health Care Plan 2014-09-11 2014 2014-09 Republican House NE Lee Terry T000459 web.archive.org     legacy House Passes “Common Sense” Legislation Allowing Companies to Offer Same Health Care Plan f t # e Washington, Sep 11 U.S. Representative Lee Terry (R-NE) made the following statement after the House passed the Employee Health Care Protection Act (H.R. 3522) which allows businesses to offer the plans to employees that were previously available before the implementation of the Affordable Care Act: “Just last week I was contacted by the Cornerstone Staffing Inc. based in Omaha who is currently facing hard decisions in order to be in compliance with this disastrous law. “Cornerstone Staffing is a woman-owned nine-year-old local business with a range of 150-450 temporary employees at any given time. They will now suffer due to a law that no one read. Previously they didn’t provide insurance to all temporary workers but had the flexibility to secure coverage for those workers who needed it.  “Now, Cornerstone Staffing Inc. is forced to provide coverage to all of their employees—whether they need it or not—which means they can’t afford to place as many individuals in needed jobs.   “This legislation passed today by the House will bring relief to companies like Cornerstone and their employees struggling with Obamacare and while according to the CBO, increasing government revenue by $400 million.
