"Expanded access to community health centers like these will ensure that new insurance translates to cost-effective care." The grants were awarded through HHS's Health Center Program, which allocates funds under the Affordable Care Act to expand the ability of community health centers nationwide to provide care to the newly insured. Health centers provide primary care services to vulnerable patients regardless of their ability to pay.
