Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell, Councilmembers Robin Arredondo-Savage and Corey Woods, the Phoenix VA, Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS), and the East Valley Veterans Education Center co-hosted the event with Congresswoman Sinema. “If anyone deserves to be given the best care and treated with the utmost respect, it’s our veterans,” said Sinema. “The Veterans Healthcare, Benefits and Resources Clinic was a one-stop shop where veterans and their families received personal assistance and information on resources and benefits they have earned.” “The importance of ensuring that our veterans have what they need to be successful cannot be understated,” said Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell. “When a veteran cannot find the services they need, whether that be healthcare, benefits, or an education, we all suffer. Organizing this event is further proof of Representative Sinema's commitment to our veterans.” “I'm appreciative of Congresswoman Sinema's support in working with Tempe to host this Veterans Resource Clinic,” said Councilmember Corey Woods. “This one-day event offers veterans and their families a connection to the services that are important to their well-being. I'm grateful we're able to provide them support.” “As a U.S. Army Veteran myself, I truly believe that we need to do everything we can to ensure that veterans and their families receive the support and resources they need,” said Councilmember Robin Arredondo-Savage. The event provided detailed information and one-on-one assistance from 31 organizations and VA programs. Veterans had access to a variety of services, including signing up for medical care, one-on-one advising from VA benefits eligibility advisers, and information on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The clinic is open until 8 p.m. and has so far served approximately 100 veterans and their families. ### | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
