The grants are part of the Ready to Work Partnership initiative to support and scale innovative collaborations between employers, nonprofit organizations and federal job training programs to help connect ready-to-work Americans with ready-to-be-filled jobs. Earlier this year, Tom Reed encouraged Secretary Perez to support the Ready to Work Partnership Grant, which will help transform workforce development in New York State. “The Ready To Work grant program will help get folks back to work,” said Reed. “These are the types of programs that will help expand our workforce and care for our neighbors who are seeking long-term employment.” “We are very pleased that the Finger Lakes region has been awarded the Ready to Work Partnership grant from USDOL,” said Karen A. Springmeier, Executive Director, Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board, Inc. “Our project, Finger Lakes Hired, will assist 1500 long term unemployed job seekers in the nine county region with intensive assessment, case management and training opportunities for careers in advanced manufacturing, information technology and healthcare.  We thank Congressman Reed for his support of our proposal and also of our efforts to assist all job seekers and businesses in the region, especially in the Advanced Manufacturing Sector.” For information please see: http://www.doleta.gov/readytowork/   ##### 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
