(Please find the full letter text attached.)   “Last month’s flooding throughout Arizona caused severe damage to our communities and took the lives of two people,” said Sinema. “I strongly encourage the President to quickly approve this request to assist Arizona families and businesses as we continue our recovery efforts.”   Earlier this month, Sinema and the other members of the Arizona Congressional delegation sent a letter to U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet urging her to consider Governor Brewer’s request for a Physical Disaster Declaration for Maricopa County following the significant flooding. Following the letter, the SBA approved Governor Brewer’s request on October 2, 2014. ### AZ Flooding Letter 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
