Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) concluded his annual tour of Arkansas agriculture, where he visited with farmers and other agriculture producers across the Fourth District. Westerman issued the following statement: "Working in agriculture is a demanding, 24/7 lifestyle, and I always look forward to meeting with the folks who have dedicated their lives to working with livestock and row crops. So many of the products we use on a daily basis are dependent on agriculture, and life as we know it would cease to exist if it weren't for these hardworking men and women. COVID-19 has only made agricultural production more difficult, yet Arkansans have risen to the challenge and carried on essential operations. I'd like to thank everyone who welcomed me to their farms this week and showed me around. I look forward to using what I learned from our conversations to craft federal policy that works for all Americans." Background The annual agriculture tour is an opportunity for Westerman to meet one-on-one with constituents and learn more about the issues they're facing and how he can assist on the federal level.
