Violent clashes have erupted across the West Bank and Gaza, at least one death has been reported, and hundreds of people have been injured. “Like many of the dubious decisions coming out of this White House, this one was made to fulfill a campaign promise. It’s a promise that’s been made by both Republican and Democratic presidential candidates, who once in office wisely realized it could not be kept. President Trump, however, made this declaration despite warnings from his own advisors that it was a bad idea.
