Wittman W000804 wittman.house.gov wittman https://wittman.house.gov/newsroom/press-releases scraper WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) today announced that he has earned the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Guardian of Small Business Award, recognizing his record of supporting America’s small and independent businesses. “Small businesses are the backbone of our communities,” said Rep. Wittman. “I am honored to receive the Guardian of Small Business Award for my work to support Main Street businesses. I am proud to advance policies that cut taxes, reduce burdensome regulations, and make it easier for small businesses to create jobs and invest in their communities. I will continue working to ensure our small businesses have the tools they need to succeed.” Background: The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) presents its Guardian of Small Business Award to members of Congress who vote with small businesses on at least 70% of NFIB-designated Key Votes. During the 119th Congress, NFIB recognized 51 senators and 216 representatives with the award. NFIB’s How Congress Voted report tracks lawmakers’ votes on issues identified as priorities by NFIB members through the organization’s member balloting process. NFIB designates legislation addressing critical small business issues as Key Votes and notifies lawmakers in advance that those votes will be included in its congressional voting record. 1 2026-10-01T11:23:28Z 2026-10-01T11:25:15Z
