Berry to be Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard: “General Berry is an accomplished officer and a proud Arkansan with the experience and knowledge to be a decisive leader for the National Guard. I applaud Governor-Elect Hutchinson’s appointment. His selection of an Air Guardsman to lead the Arkansas Guard is a reflection of the joint nature of today’s military, and I am wholeheartedly confident in General Berry’s ability to be an effective commander during this time of great uncertainty in the Guard. I congratulate him on this promotion!” Congressman Steve Womack represents Arkansas’s Third Congressional District and serves on the House Appropriations Committee and the Defense, Financial Services and General Government, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees. In 2009, Congressman Womack retired with over thirty years of service from the Arkansas Army National Guard at the rank of Colonel.
