This bill will hold federal and state officials accountable by ensuring they report criminal history records to NICS, without at all expanding the ranks of those barred. Additionally, it will require the Bureau of Justice Statistics to inform Congress how many times a bump stock has been used to commit a crime – an accessory reported to be used in the Las Vegas massacre.
