The business accelerator has been launched under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Ocean-Based Climate Resilience Accelerators program, funded by the Baldwin-backed Inflation Reduction Act. “Wisconsin’s small businesses and entrepreneurs are leading the charge to tackle our community's most pressing challenges but sometimes they just need some support to develop and grow,” said Senator Baldwin. “With this funding, gener8tor will help these small businesses and entrepreneurs scale their operations, develop cutting-edge technologies, and ensure our Great Lakes are resilient and the economy that relies on them is strong for years to come.” This announcement comes after Senator Baldwin called on the NOAA to prioritize the investment of Inflation Reduction Act funds in programs and infrastructure that will advance research, enhance resilience, and support the management of the Great Lakes. With the funding, gener8tor will provide guidance, support, and funding to help small businesses scale quickly, spurring the development of technologies and services that enhance the Great Lakes region’s economic and environmental resilience. gener8tor is a nationally ranked accelerator that invests in high-growth startups and supports their growth through its network of experienced mentors, technologists, corporate partners, angel investors, and venture capitalists.
