Trump in the Southern District of New York: We look forward to proceeding with our lawsuit, which has an entirely distinct and different claim on standing. In fact, Judge Daniels opinion confirms what we have always said that the Foreign Emoluments Clause gives Congress a crucial right and responsibility to protect the American people from foreign corruption. But Congress cannot fulfill that responsibility so long as the President fails to come to Congress and disclose the benefits he wishes to accept from foreign governments.
