I’ll continue working with my colleagues to support policies that protect consumers, ensure a free and open internet, and provide the stability the broadband marketplace needs to expand in rural areas.”  The 2015 Open Internet Order gave the FCC the ability to regulate today’s competitive broadband marketplace like a monopoly-era utility. According to the FCC, broadband investment has decreased for two years in a row, marking the first time this has occurred, outside of a recession, in the internet era. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
