The violence has escalated to a point where the international community can no longer stay silent. I appreciate the actions taken by the UN Security Council and especially by the government of France. I urge the Obama Administration to assist the French and MISCA, the African Union-led International Support Mission to the Central African Republic, in the rapid deployment of forces so they can immediately intervene to help put an end to the violence.” Boozman recently sent a bipartisan letter along with Senators Chris Coons (D-DE), Bob Corker (R-TN), Dick Durbin (D-IL), Edward Markey (D-MA), Jerry Moran (R-KS) and Jim Inhofe (R-OK) urging the Administration to engage with key partners and stakeholders to help diffuse the conflict.
