This funding was made available through DOJ’s Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) program, National Criminal History Improvement Program (NCHIP), and the State Justice Statistics (SJS) program. “It is important that we equip our state’s Division of Justice and Community Services, Supreme Court of Appeals, and community partners with the resources they need to do their job properly, and keep West Virginians safe. I am encouraged to see this funding coming to bolster justice and reduce crime within our state, and thank the DOJ for their continued support of initiatives in West Virginia,” Senator Capito said. “West Virginians should feel safe in their communities, and this funding will help the justice system in West Virginia protect our fellow West Virginians by combatting violent crime and supporting data collection.
