This funding will support the expansion of county-wide programming to address the health and wellbeing of first responders. This investment will provide the necessary resources to expand access to the programming through Lily’s Place for all police officers, firefighters, EMTs, 911 dispatchers, and family members in the Cabell County area. “Lily’s Place has supported countless families in West Virginia, and I am thrilled to bring these additional resources in to bolster their services. This vital investment will open the door for an amazing partnership to provide direct support to all first responders and their families in Cabell County,” Senator Capito said. “I am proud to have led the effort to fund the expansion of this vital program, and I look forward to the positive impact it will have on the lives of those who fight for ours every day.” “Lily’s Place is incredibly grateful for this investment and for Senator Capito’s continued commitment to our mission of serving families throughout our region. This funding will allow us to provide critical resources to first responders, including mental health services and spiritual care. We’re excited to partner with local agencies to make these meaningful resources available and care for those who selflessly serve and protect our communities,” Olivia Meade, Executive Director of Lily’s Place, said. Senator Capito has long supported Lily’s place, securing numerous funding awards for the facility. # # # 1 2026-09-22T09:42:49Z 2026-09-22T09:44:35Z
