U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement after voting to pass a continuing resolution that will fund the government through January 19, 2018. I am pleased that Congress passed this short-term bill to fund important programs and priorities, including resources for our national security. This continuing resolution extends the VA Choice program that provides health care to our veterans, funds community health centers and extends the State Childrens Health Insurance Program or CHIP.
