It shouldn’t have taken this long to do the right thing for the American people. Our goal has always been simple: keep the government open and complete our appropriations process through regular order— the way the Senate is supposed to function. I’m grateful to the Democrats who joined Republicans in voting to do just that. In addition to reopening our government, I am glad we were able to pass three full year Appropriations bills, and I look forward to passing more and completing our work,” Senator Capito said. # # # 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-06T19:52:45Z
