Nationwide, nearly 1,300 health centers operate more 9,200 service delivery sites that provide care to more than 21.7 million patients. “This funding is made possible by the Affordable Care Act and will help Henrietta Johnson reach out and treat patients who otherwise would not have a medical home,” Sen. Carper said. “I am proud of the work they are doing on the front lines to inform, care for and offer preventive medicine and treatment to Delawareans.” “Receiving health care in a timely fashion is critical to living a healthy and happy life,” Sen. Coons said. “Thanks to this grant provided by the Affordable Care Act, staff at the Henrietta Johnson Medical Center will receive additional resources to achieve their mission of ‘helping, healing and caring’ for their patients.” “The doctors, nurses, and staff at Henrietta Johnson Medical Center work tirelessly to provide quality, affordable care to everyone who walks through their doors,” Congressman Carney said.  “The grant announced today will help the Center hire more providers, expand its reach, and give more Delawareans the care they need, regardless of whether or not they have insurance.” 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
