Dr. Cassidy's remarks on Fox News are transcribed below. CASSIDY:It is huge. In fact, it is bigger than getting money appropriated immediately because this takes effect immediately. And for those who don't know, if someone comes across the border to seek asylum, they're in. And then they end up melting into our population, never again being found. They don't show up for their court date, they just live here illegally. On the other hand, under this deal, now they'll be kept in Mexico, they'll be processed in Mexico, and they'll never be released into the interior of the United States. It is huge, it is a bigger deal for securing our border than would be an immediate appropriation of money. ### Print Email Tweet Next Article Previous Article | 1 | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z | 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z |
