U.S. Senator Susan Collins, the Chairman of the Housing Appropriations Subcommittee, announced that two housing authorities in Maine have received a total of $120,541 to support housing assistance to low-income families. This funding was provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Public Housing Operating Program. Maine's housing authorities provide vital support to individuals and families with disabilities,said Senator Collins. As the Chairman of the Housing Appropriations Subcommittee, I am committed to providing the resources to help meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors. The funding was allocated as follows: Housing Authority of Fort Fairfield received $7,314. Bath Housing Authority received $113,227. As the Chairman of the Housing Appropriations Subcommittee, Senator Collins has worked hard to preserve and modernize affordable housing units across the State of Maine.
