Prevents Washington from imposing Common Core standards and puts educational decision-making back where it belongs: in the hands of Texas school districts, teachers, and parents. Reauthorization of the Education Flexibility Partnership Act (Passed Senate 12/2/15, passed House 12/10/15, became law 12/10/15) Reauthorized and expanded as part of an amendment to the Every Student Succeeds Act authored by Senator Cornyn. Allows districts and schools flexibility in the implementation of federal education programs in exchange for enhanced accountability for students’ performance. Ensures that states have the freedom to leverage federal funds to increase efficiency and encourage innovation. 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
