The Ratepayer Affordability and Transparency in Energy (RATE) Act promotes grid reliability by preventing states from mandating renewables that drive up electricity costs. “State requirements for less reliable, renewable energy sources, shouldn’t lead to higher energy costs for Arkansans. My bill would ensure those mandates don’t impact energy prices,” said Senator Cotton. “Americans voted to make energy affordable, accessible, and reliable again.
