"Ever since the end of World War I, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier has venerated those service members who anonymously sacrificed themselves for the freedom of other Americans," Senator Cotton said. "Now, one hundred years later, more than four million people pass through the gates of Arlington National Cemetery each year, and most will visit the Tomb to observe the Changing of the Guard. To commemorate such an important part of our history, I encourage both chambers to quickly pass this resolution." Background On September 28, Representative Robert Brady (PA-01) introduced companion legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives.
