And it will provide our troops with the best training, equipment and leadership in the world."In addition to drafting a portion of this bill in my role as Chairman of the Air Land Subcommittee, I'm pleased the bill also contains several policy initiatives I authored. First, it reaffirms current restrictions on both transferring detainees from Guantanamo Bay and closing the facility. It also bolsters U.S. missile defenses, which keep Americans safe from an Iranian or North Korean long range missile attack and helps America's Airborne troops by filling critical vehicle shortfall.
