This legislation would block any taxpayer dollars from being used to advance an Iran nuclear agreement until they terminate cash ties with China and terminate ties to terrorist groups such as Hamas. “We know the pursuit of the Iranian nuclear deal has done nothing to deter Iran’s nuclear proliferation, it has only emboldened and enriched them. We also know our adversaries love working together and it’s time we recognize it,” said Senator Cramer. In March 2021, Iran and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) signed a 25-year, $400 billion strategic economic agreement to advance Chinese influence in the Middle East. This legislation would require Iran to destroy all chemical weapons and materials, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to cease the incarceration of Uyghurs.
