Without today's repeal, this rescission would harm states, slow the economy, and cost us American jobs. North Dakota alone would lose over $14 million in funds for improving our local infrastructure. With this behind us, we can continue working to move our bipartisan highway reauthorization bill forward. North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) Director William T. Panos also offered support for this action by Congress. The North Dakota DOT appreciates Senator Cramer's leadership and perseverance to reverse the Rescission of $7.6 billion of contract authority that was proposed to be taken back from states on July 1, 2020,said NDDOT Director Panos.Through his leadership, it saved North Dakota $14.4 million that can now be invested in transportation projects across the state. This repeal was included in the one-month Continuing Resolution (CR) passed by Congress today.
