The EPA investment will fund the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality working with the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction and the North Dakota Department of Human Services to continue voluntary lead testing in local schools and child care facilities. Some of the facilities to be served, which are used to care for children six years and younger, were built before 1988 and may contain lead plumbing.
