Specifically, the resolution states Israel is not a racist state, Congress rejects all forms of antisemitism and xenophobia, and the United States will always be a staunch partner and supporter of Israel. The resolution, of which Senator Crapo is an original co-sponsor, was introduced by Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) and was passed by the Senate unanimously. U.S. Representative August Pfluger (R-Texas) introduced the resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives ahead of Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s joint address to Congress on July 19, 2023. It overwhelmingly passed the House by a vote of 412-9. “The alliance between Israel and the U.S. continues to serve as a cornerstone of progress and stability in the region, and both countries should continue to work together to combat evils of extremism and promote greater peace, prosperity and progress,” said Crapo. “Israel is a critical ally of the United States, and I remain a strong advocate for Israel’s right to defend itself from existential threats by hostile parties.” 1 2026-03-30T01:40:41Z 2026-04-08T00:18:03Z
