"The CR passed by the Senate today is the wrong approach to our fiscal situation, which continues to deteriorate," Crapo said.  "Passage of this CR allows federal funding to continue at levels that drive us ever deeper into debt.  Making this CR particularly worse, is that the funding for Obamacare was restored by an amendment that was agreed to on a straight party line vote.  The budget process is not finished with this CR; and the House is unlikely to agree to the Senate version. I will follow the House process closely and evaluate any amended version they send back to the Senate." The House-passed CR was taken up in the Senate on Monday, September 23.  Following several procedural and amendment votes, the Senate voted on final passage of the amended House version.  The resolution now returns to the House for consideration where the House could pass the Senate CR or amend it further and return it to the Senate.
