https://www.crapo.senate.gov/media/newsreleases/release_full.cfm?id=355195 Crapo to Note Water Collaboration in Lewiston, Celebrate Solar Progress in Sandpoint 2014-08-13 2014 2014-08 Republican House ID Michael Crapo C000880 www.crapo.senate.gov     legacy August 13, 2014 Crapo to Note Water Collaboration in Lewiston, Celebrate Solar Progress in Sandpoint Will also address Orofino Chamber during visits in north Idaho Lewiston  - A collaborative effort to conserve water, assist species and encourage consensus between government agencies will be celebrated Friday as leaders join in Lewiston to mark the Lower Clearwater Exchange Project Agreement (LCEP).  The historic agreement between water users, the Nez Perce Tribe; city, county and state leaders, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and members of Idaho's Congressional Delegation averts legal action and settles water allotment questions in the Lewiston Orchards area. Crapo will be in Sandpoint Saturday morning to meet with Mayor Carrie Logan and Scott and Julie Brusaw, the owners of Solar Roadways, to discuss advances in solar technology that are putting the city and company in the national spotlight.  Solar Roadways is designing unique solar panels that can double in serving both transportation needs and for generating energy and the city has historic plans to utilize the technology that Crapo hopes can catch on nationwide.  In addition, Crapo will join the mayor for an important announcement about changes to the Amtrak Depot in Sandpoint.
