During visits in Twin Falls, Crapo will present his Spirit of Idaho Award to Madison Miller, a student of Xavier High School. For her senior project, Madison organized the first-ever Homeless Stand-down in Twin Falls which took place on March 16, 2016. The event served 80 or more homeless and vulnerable individuals in the Twin Falls area. Participants were offered lunch, a haircut, coats, sleeping bags, backpacks, socks and other items. The event also offered a number of booths that had information about services residents could access in the community. Crapo will also visit Gooding to present vision-impaired books gathered through the Library of Congress' Surplus Book Program to the Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind. He will add a town meeting in Warm River to the town meetings already scheduled next week across southeast Idaho.
