Senators Gary Peters (D-Mich.), Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), Dave McCormick (R- Pa.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) are cosponsors of the resolution. “Central Asia is a strategically critical region, and since the launch of the C5+1 in 2015, we’ve made substantial progress in deepening the relationships between America and the five Central Asian nations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. I’ve travelled to all five Central Asian countries and have a deep appreciation for our mutual goals, including increased trade and national security.
