At the Department of Defense, Assistant Secretary Creedon helps to oversee policy development and execution on strategic matters, including missile defense, cyber security, and space issues.  A native of Indiana, Assistant Secretary Creedon was born and raised in Indianapolis and attended the University of Evansville. September 5, 2013 Honorable Madelyn Creedon Assistant Secretary of Defense for Global Strategic Affairs 1000 Defense Pentagon Washington, DC 20302-1000 Dear Ms. Creedon,             We are writing this letter to urge you to be a featured speaker at the first strategic nuclear symposium at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, Indiana,  scheduled for October 18th 2013 to discuss the important issue of “Strategic Modernization Challenges and US Air Force and US Navy Collaboration”. During this past year, the Indiana Delegation has worked closely with the DOD leadership to support the requirement to update our strategic systems and to prepare for the future of our nation’s strategic nuclear deterrent. We fully support the Air Force and Navy Strategic community working collaboratively especially at a time of fiscal restraint. As you are aware from your extensive strategic systems experience, NSWC Crane is rooted in providing vital strategic mission support to insure Navy and Air Force Strategic Mission Goals are met.
