Donnelly, who serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said, “This agreement further strengthens the unbreakable bond between Israel and the United States. Our security partnership and this critical agreement will continue to advance our shared security interests, helping to protect Israel as well as our troops in the Middle East.” Donnelly is Ranking Member of the Senate Armed Services Strategic Forces Subcommittee, which oversees U.S. missile defense programs, as well as U.S.-Israel collaborative missile defense programs, including Iron Dome, David’s Sling and Arrow. Donnelly has long supported collaborative missile defense programs with Israel to help ensure that Israel has the cutting-edge technology it needs to counter a wide range of threats, including the ability to thwart enemy rocket attacks on civilian communities and to intercept ballistic missiles.
