The Veterans History Project is an effort by the Library of Congress to preserve the historic experiences of those who served in the United States military by recording their personal narratives and archiving them for use by historians, teachers, and the general public. Donnelly said, The men and women who courageously served our country have moving stories to share about their service. It is important that we record their statements so that future generations have the opportunity to learn from the experiences and appreciate the sacrifices they have made to protect our freedoms. Donnellys staff and other Hoosier volunteers will be present to interview veterans. Area veterans are encouraged to attend in order to have their stories recorded.Individuals in the community who would like to volunteer to interview the veterans are also welcome.
