These grants are awarded to facilitate partnerships between school corporations and institutes of higher education. Nine Indiana school corporations received grants, including Elkhart and Concord Community Schools in collaboration with ETHOS Science Center, for which Senator Donnelly wrote a letter of support. Donnelly said, “I am very happy to see Indiana school corporations and institutes of higher learning working together to provide our kids with the education and skills they need to succeed in today’s job market. I want to thank the Indiana Department of Education for making this investment in our children’s future.” Patsy Boehler, Executive Director of ETHOS, said, “We are very excited about the possibilities that the funding from the Math Science Partnership Grant will provide in working with Elkhart and Concord Community Schools. As grant partners, we are dedicated to maximizing the learning environment.
