It has been renewed or expanded three times (2009, 2010, 2011) at varying levels since first created. “I’m proud to cosponsor this bill that would help American workers, such as Delphi’s salaried retirees, to afford healthcare coverage after they’ve lost their job through no fault of their own,” said Donnelly.  “Many have worked for years for companies that provided healthcare coverage, only to lose those benefits when they lost their jobs due to foreign outsourcing. Extending this tax credit is the right thing to do for American workers affected by international trade.”  The Health Coverage Tax Credit expires January 1, 2014.  ### Press Contact Contact: Donnelly_Press@Donnelly.Senate.Gov 1 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z 2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
