U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly today released the latest installment of his “Just Ask Joe” video series, which highlights the many services available to Hoosiers from his office. Joe Perch, a Knox resident and Navy veteran, who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis, contacted Donnelly’s office seeking help to get missing military medals he had earned and been waiting for 54 years to receive. Donnelly’s office reached out to the Department of the Navy on Mr. Perch’s behalf and secured four medals in recognition of his efforts to stop Russian ships from unloading cargo into Cuba. Donnelly encourages any Hoosier in need of assistance with a federal agency to contact his Indianapolis office at 317-226-5555.
